I got affected by conjunctivitis, last Friday (Oct. 22nd). This is my first ever conjunctivitis attack and I have a sneaky feeling I’m being punished for this irreverent tweet, by the God of 3D,

I see a L-O-T of ads for 3D TV…comes with glasses it seems. I’m not keen to look like a Madras Eye patient in my own living room, but.

Anyway, 2 major events fell in the subsequent week – my birthday (on 28th) and my 10th wedding anniversary (today). But I knew that all through these days, I can’t do much – I have inflamed conjunctivitis (the one that affects the right side of your eyeball, if you see in your left eye). So, to not affect others, since conjunctivitis is highly contagious, I was on a strict regimen of hand sanitizers and forced seclusion.

10th wedding anniversary is a huge deal and I haven’t even got anything for my wife – I was planning something for last weekend till these eyes of mine went for a toss. So, mid-week, left completely hopeless of a fast-track healing, I turned to the net. Stumbled upon a variety of photo albums on Myntra and downloaded their photo album maker to assemble a Platinum Photo Book with best photos from the past 10 years featuring just me and my wife…no kids (they should ideally feature in a separate progress report!).

This was on Wednesday night (Oct. 27th) and I took quite a bit time in the night to put together this…what with watery eyes, digging through a 1TB external hard disk full of thousands of photos…and all that! Myntra’s delivery FAQs mention 3-5 days, so I wrote them a mail explaining my 30th deadline and asking them if I could pick it up myself, physically, since I stay very close to their office, in Bangalore. Got a prompt mail saying that it is being shipped directly from Mumbai, and not Bangalore.

Myntra completely surprised me by delivering it yesterday (Oct. 29th) evening. I’m not sure whether it was their normal delivery time line or if my mail worked at some level, but the fact is that wife is pleased to a punch with the beautifully assembled photobook!

Thanks Myntra! Now, looking forward to making it up with something even better once I get rid of this pink eye!
