Mashable says, ‘Gap Reverts to Original Logo After Social Media Backlash’.
Isn’t that simply fan backlash? Or consumer backlash?
People use social media as a mode to offer feedback since it is easy, scalable and spreadable. I wonder if Gap had any option for consumers/fans to give feedback in other modes like email, phone or snail mail. If they had and assuming people sent in feedback, say via emails, will this be called, ’email backlash’?
Of course not, right? Then why ‘social media backlash’? Is that a search-bait? Seems like a obviously sensationalistic title that uses the word social media quite pointlessly. Or for a pointed bait.
