canon_eos_450d

I was going through the firmware update notes for my EOS 450D when a peculiar word usage caught my attention! Version 1.0.9 changes are listed as,

“Fixes a phenomenon in which AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) shooting does not operate normally under these conditions.”

“Fixes a phenomenon in which the Live View exposure simulation warning indication does not properly display during Live View shooting.”

“Fixes a phenomenon in which the Live View exposure simulation warning indication, in which would normally flash when the image is not being displayed at a suitable brightness level (under the conditions of low brightness and high brightness), does not display properly during Live View shootring.”

“Fixes a phenomenon in which images cannot be played back after continuous shooting when a printer is connected to the camera or the video output terminal is used.”

Besides the obvious typo (shootring?), the word ‘phenomenon’ sounds really odd, at least to me. Does Canon intend to say that these things were found after the DSLR’s software was fully coded? Found as in stumbled upon? Is that really a phenomenon…or are these just gaffes? Blunders? Or more appropriately, defects?
