The magic of Twitter threads, in a 3-part, 10-tweets-per-thread story

I have written about Twitter Threads earlier. They are unlike any other form of content mankind has seen before. No, I’m not exaggerating at all. Read my post and you’d know: An ode to the Twitter thread.

Here’s one of my favorite recent threads on Twitter. This is by a writer who goes by the Twitter handle “sixthformpoet”. He/she posted three stories in 10-tweet threads in June that went massively viral because the stories were intriguing, seemingly improbable and wildly entertaining!

Also, observe the form in which these stories are written. Because the medium is Twitter, sudden bursts of all-caps text happen, to accentuate a point. It may seem grammatically awkward, but it works perfectly within the context.

There have been speculations that these stories are fake. But that’s beside the point.

The simple point is that the handle is about selling a book written by the author only known as ‘sixthformpoet’ and represented by the talent agency Vivienne Clore.

For that goal, these tweet threads work wonderfully, like a brilliant teaser!
